
The news surrounding Alex Bregman’s free agency is heating up, with the Houston Astros manager, Joe Espada, making it clear that the team is still keeping the door open for a possible reunion with the two-time All-Star. While the Astros have not ruled out bringing Bregman back, they face significant competition, especially from the Boston Red Sox, who have been linked to Bregman throughout the offseason.
Bregman, who rejected a six-year, $156 million offer from Houston, is seeking a larger contract, but his market has cooled due to concerns over his performance and the long-term investment at age 30.
