Transfer News: Guess who Motherwell has brought back into the team on a permanent basis

Midfielder Sam Nicholson re-joins Motherwell on permanent basis

Nicholson has settled his future after a successful loan spell at Fir Park.

Motherwell have announced that Sam Nicholson has signed for the club on a permanent basis after a successful loan spell.

Nicholson spent the second half of last season on loan at Fir Park from Colorado Rapids and made 16 appearances on the left flank of Stuart Kettlewell’s side, scoring twice.

He has now signed a two-year contract with Motherwell and said that his experience at the club had made it an easy decision to return and commit his future to the side.

“It feels to good to be back here permanently,” Sam Nicholson said.

“I had to be patient when I first arrived but just tried to take my chances when they came.

“The fans and club as a whole have been welcoming and a joy to represent. That’s why I was keen to return permanently.

“The excitement is already building for next season.”
