TRADE UPDATE: Atlanta Braves completes the signing of a top veteran after much negotiation

Atlanta Braves news: MLB insider outlines two under-the-radar impact players they could seek before the trade deadline.

With the Atlanta Braves in a difficult situation and in need of some impact players to bolster the roster for the stretch run, a prominent MLB insider recently revealed two potential trade targets who could be a good fit for an organization that has no intention of giving up on their 2024 title hopes before the MLB trade deadline.

Heading into today’s MLB games, the Braves are showing indications of finally breaking out of their slump, which saw them lose five straight games, three of which came to the lowly Washington Nationals. It’s been a tough year for a squad that has lost its top two players, Spencer Strider and Ronald Acuna Jr., due to season-ending injuries.

It appears to be a horrible year to try to win the World Series without those two studs and against a Phillies team that has been one of baseball’s best this season. Not to mention the stacked and costly Los Angeles Dodgers team out west. It practically raises the question of whether they may sell at the trade deadline, sit out this season, and reorganize in 2025.

According to USA Today MLB expert Bob Nightengale, Atlanta will not contemplate selling certain players and has lately disclosed two potential targets who could make an impact in the second half.

Tommy Pham stats (2024):.287 AVG,.346 OBP,.406 SLG, 3 HR, 13 RBI, 21 R, and 3 SB

“They won’t give up. Nightengale told Sportsnaut, “It’s way too good of a fan base and atmosphere.” “I don’t care if they are 30 games back; they aren’t selling there. A Zack Eflin would be ideal for them. They need another experienced starter. They can salvage some outfielders from the scrap heap. Someone like Tommy Pham or something.
