SAD NEWS: Jannik Sinner Suffers setback with injury as it gets worsen.
Italy’s Jannik Sinner is reportedly in serious doubt for the upcoming French Open. The second Grand Slam of the year will be played from May 26 to June 09 in the French capital city of Paris where players from all over the world will battle to secure the ultimate prize.
The 22-year-old is often regarded as one of the most highly-rated players currently playing in the men’s tennis in the singles category along with Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz. Sinner is having a fabulous 2024 season where he has been simply unstoppable. He won his first Grand Slam this year as well after beating Russia’s Daniil Medvedev in the final in a five-set thriller with a score of 3-6, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-3.
However, all of that might change in the near future as per the latest report, the current world number two is in serious doubt about participating at the Roland Garros. Sinner has struggled with a hip injury which pushed him to withdraw just before the start of the Madrid Open quarterfinal. That was not it as the current world number two also withdrew from the Rome Open. The report stated that the San Candido-born might consider not taking part in the mega-event as taking part in the event without proper preparation might have a risk of aggravating the hip injury.
