Report: Rams Trade Key star to Texans in a blockbuster Trade
Rams continue to alter their roster, moving Ben Skowronek to the Texans.
The Rams, looking to build on last season’s unexpected playoff run, proceeded to alter their squad on Thursday, moving receiver and special teams leader Ben Skowronek to the Houston Texans, the organization said.
As part of the agreement, the Rams traded a 2026 seventh-round pick to the Texans in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round pick.
Skowronek, a seventh-round pick in 2021, was a crucial special teams player, rotating receiver, and occasional fullback for Rams teams that won the Super Bowl at the end of the 2021 season and made the playoffs the previous season.

Los Angeles— The Rams, ready to expand on last season’s stunning playoff run, proceeded to rearrange their roster on Thursday, moving receiver and special teams leader Ben Skowronek to the Houston Texans, according to a source familiar with the transaction who was not authorized to speak publicly.
The person requested anonymity because the trade, which also includes the Rams sending a 2026 seventh-round pick to the Texans in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round pick, has yet to be publicized.
Skowronek, a seventh-round pick in 2021, was a crucial special teams player, rotating receiver, and occasional fullback for Rams teams that won the Super Bowl at the end of the 2021 season and made the playoffs the previous season.
The Rams’ receiving corps now comprises standout veteran Cooper Kupp, second-year pro Puka Nacua, veteran Demarcus Robinson, Tutu Atwell (a former second-round choice in his final year of rookie contract), and rookie Jordan Whittington.
According to Overthecap.com, Skowronek is expected to make around $1 million this season. His most prolific season as a receiver came in 2022, when he caught 39 passes for 376 yards.
Last season, despite many injuries, Skowronek caught only eight catches for 66 yards and one touchdown.
