I feel betrayed by Wisconsin for letting me go this way…

Wisconsin Badgers: Wide Receiver Depth Chart

Wisconsin Football: Badgers streak of top 25 ranking could end in 2024

The Wisconsin Badgers wide receiver depth chart for the upcoming 2024 season is going to be a little different than it was a season ago. According to the latest depth chart, the projected starters for this season for Wisconsin will be Bryson Green, C.J. Williams, and Will Pauling.

C.J. Williams transferred from the USC Trojans in the offseason and there will be a lot of depth at the wide receiver position for the Wisconsin Badgers. There will be some other players that can compete for playtime as well.

A season ago with the Wisconsin Badgers, Green caught 32 passes for 480 yards receiving and two touchdowns. He also averaged 15.0 yards per catch. Wisconsin will have him as the number two wide receiver behind Will Pauling as the top target for transfer quarterback Tyler Van Dyke from Miami.

Chimere Dyke and Skyler Bell are two of the wide receivers that were on the Badgers roster last season but are not on the roster this season. The best player on Wisconsin’s depth chart heading into this season is Will Pauling. A season ago, Pauling caught 74 passes for 837 yards receiving and six touchdowns, along with averaging 11.3 yards per catch.

Wisconsin Badgers Transfer C.J. Williams Has a Chance To Breakout This Season

Williams will be entering his junior year with the Badgers this season after spending the first two seasons with the USC Trojans. He only caught 15 passes for 148 yards receiving and zero touchdowns. C.J. Williams averaged 9.9 yards per reception.

Ben Kenny of the badgerswire.usatoday.com wrote about C.J. Williams being in the starting wide receiver spot for now for the Wisconsin Badgers by writing:

Behind C.J. Williams on the depth chart for the Wisconsin Badgers, Joseph Griffin and Tyrell Henry are the players that are behind Williams. They are both transfer players and hope to push Williams during training camp in order to get play time in 2024.

Assuming Williams beats them out, he will have a chance to break out in this offense this season. He will be a junior this season for the Badgers and will need to step up to get this offense humming. Will Pauling can’t be the only one in this offensive being productive at the position.
