Kentucky defensive back enters transfer portal
He is UK’s seventh departure since the end of spring practice.
Kentucky cornerback Jordan Robinson has entered the transfer portal after spending two seasons with the Wildcats.
The 6-foot-4 corner started his college career at the Division II level, playing the 2021 season at Livingstone College, where he recorded 26 tackles, two interceptions and six pass breakups for the Blue Bears.
He transferred to Kentucky ahead of the 2022 season and redshirted in his debut season with the Wildcats playing in just four games.
fter missing the first two games of the season due to injury, Robinson saw an expanded role last season, playing in 11 games and making a start in UK’s loss to Tennessee.
On the year he logged 13 total tackles, 0.5 a tackle for a loss and two pass breakups. He posted a 53.8 PFF grade and 49.7 coverage grade logging 200 snaps all coming at outside cornerback.
Unfortunately, his most memorable moment as a Wildcat was a blunder as he tripped defending Tennessee in his lone start last season, which led to a wide-open touchdown for Chas Nimrod.
Robinson is the seventh Wildcat to enter the transfer portal since the conclusion of spring practice, joining La’Vell Wright, Raymond Cottrell, Ardell Banks, Jackson Smith, Shamar Porter and Jaremiah Anglin Jr. He’ll have two years of eligibility remaining at his next school.
