The New York Mets continue to make changes, at least when it comes to the their stable of catchers.

The club activated starting catcher Francisco Alvarez from the Injured List on Tuesday and in a corresponding move designated longtime backup Tomas Nido for assignment. Nido was first drafted by the team in 2012 and made his MLB debut in 2017.
