I thought long-term deal will be reached
Jeremy Swayman will be a restricted free agent this summer. After a tough arbitration case last year, the Bruins goalie doesn’t see that happening again. When asked if he was confident a long-term deal would get done, Swayman had a simple answer.

Swayman had a strong season between the pipes for the Bruins. He amassed a 25-10-8 record — that included three shutouts — with a 2.53 goals-against average and a .916 save percentage.
Bruins coach Jim Montgomery rotated Swayman and Linus Ullmark for a majority of the year. But when it came time for the Stanley Cup Playoffs, it was Swayman’s net.
Ullmark played in one game during Boston’s Stanley Cup Playoffs run — Game 2 against the Toronto Maple Leafs. After that Montgomery went away from the rotation for the first time since February. Swayman stood on his head in the playoffs and was arguably Boston’s best player game in and game out.
Despite giving up six goals in two separate games to the Florida Panthers in the second round, it wasn’t indicative to how Swayman played.
Getting Swayman locked up is just one priority for the Bruins. It’s expected to be a busy offseason with several impending free agents like Matt Grzelcyk and Jake DeBrusk, and the team could also benefit from adding a center to its lineup.
