Former BC WR Joseph Griffin Jr. Transfers to Wisconsin
After two seasons at Boston College, Joseph Griffin Jr. has found a new home with the University of Wisconsin.
The 6-3 Springfield, MA native came on brilliantly late in his freshman season. He had a 100 yard two touchdown performance against Duke and followed that up with a game winning touchdown over a top-25 team in NC State. He wasn’t able to get on the stat sheet this season, and ended his time with the Eagles with 43 catches for 579 yards and 6 touchdowns.
With BC bringing in two receivers in Jerand Bradley and Jayden McGowan, Bradley being in the same mold as the big-bodied Griffin, it makes sense for Joe to get a fresh start. His younger brother, Josiah, is however staying under Bill O’Brien. Since his hire, only three players have officially transferred, but Griffin was the first. Emmett Morehead committed to Old Dominion last week and Matthew Rueve is still exploring options.
As mentioned he will have two years of eligibility remaining with the Badgers. Good luck, Joe!
