The 19-year-old will join Hartford immediately

The New York Rangers announced that prospect Dylan Roobroeck has signed a three-year entry level contract with the franchise.

The London, Ontario, native will immediately join the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack.

Originally selected in the sixth round of the 2023 NHL draft, Roobroeck recorded 72 points and 101 penalty minutes in 68 regular season games for the Oshawa Generals this season.

The 19-year-old stepped up his game in the playoffs, leading the Generals in goals with 11 and finishing second on the team in playoff scoring with 26 points in 21 games.

With the Wolf Pack down two games to none in their best-of-three series against the Hershey Bears, Roobroeck will look to translate his OHL playoff success to the AHL and help extend the series.

Game 3 of the series goes Wednesday night at 7pm EST.
