CONFIRNED: Florida finally land top target.
After landing an offer from the Florida Gators this past August, Madison (MS) County three-star tight end Micah Jones has continued to make his way over to Gainesville to visit. This year alone Jones has made it to UF’s campus twice, with his most recent visit taking place this past month. Jones has long mentioned Florida being in the conversation of getting an official visit this coming summer, and a date has now been set.
Florida is the lone official visit set so far for Jones, and will take place the weekend of May 31-June 2.
Gators welcoming more prospects to campus as spring football continues
With the Florida Gators holding their latest spring practice on Tuesday, they will welcome some more targets between the class of 2025 and 2026. It’s already been a busy spring, as prospects have made their way to Gainesville in droves over the course of the last few weeks. The group on Tuesday is on the smaller side, but they are some important names that Florida’s coaching staff is high on. Swamp247 takes a look at the names expected in.
Florida welcomed Lake Mary (Fla.) 2026 quarterback Noah Grubbs to town on Monday, but he will also be back again on Tuesday. With Florida having a lighter day on Monday, it allowed Grubbs a chance to spend some good quality time with the coaching staff. He’s been in touch with offensive analyst Ryan O’Hara so far, who is heavily involved with the quarterback position, and quarterback recruiting for the Gators. This trip will mark Grubbs second time at UF this year, after visiting for a Junior Day in January. It was on that trip where the Gators pulled the trigger with an offer. So far, it’s been a busy stretch of trips for Grubbs, as he’s made stops to Miami, Ohio State, Michigan, and Notre Dame. He’s also got trips to Alabama and North Carolina coming up in the future. The 2026 class in the state of Florida is going to be an interesting storyline, as there are a ton of talented arms that cycle. Grubbs is one of those names, and has already emerged as a National recruit before his Sophomore year has ended.
