Cincinnati Reds Coach Makes Bold Admission As He Sends A Devastating Message…

The Cincinnati Reds made a change among their outfielders ahead of their nine-game homestand beginning Tuesday, recalling Nick Martini from Triple-A Louisville.

The Reds made the move on Tuesday, bringing the 33-year-old Martini back to Cincinnati for his second Major League stint of the season. Outfielder Conner Capel was optioned to Triple-A as a corresponding move.

What is Nick Martini's future with the Reds?

After swatting two home runs during the Reds’ Opening Day win over the Washington Nationals, Martini struggled from then on, hitting .177/.200/.329 with 13 runs scored and 15 runs batted in.

Earlier this month, the Reds sent Martini down to Louisville, where he hit .364 with three home runs in eight games.

Capel, who was recalled from Triple-A on the same day Martini was sent down, collected two hits in eight plate appearances during his brief stint with the Reds.

The Reds, who have lost 14 of 17 games during the month of May, have plummeted into last place in the National League Central division at 19-28.
