BREAKING: West Ham Star has accepted 4years contract to join Southampton.

Southampton have registered their interest in signing West Ham striker Danny Ings, sources have told Football Insider.

The promoted side are keen for the 31-year-old to return to St Mary’s Stadium this summer – three years after his exit.

It is believed West Ham are ready to allow Ings to leave the club as the striker has just 12 months left to run on his contract.

Sources say the London Stadium club value the three-time England international at around £5-6million with the summer transfer window now in full swing.

Ings made just seven starts in 30 total appearances for the Irons in the 2023-24 campaign and is unlikely to force his way into Julen Lopetegui’s plans.

West Ham ready to sell Southampton target Ings for cut-price.

He managed just one goal last term and has scored just four goals in total since signing for West Ham in January 2023.

The 31-year-old made 100 appearances during his three-year spell with Southampton from 2018 to 2021, scoring 46 goals.

Ings scored 22 Premier League goals for the Saints in the 2019-20 campaign and was just one goal short of winning the Golden Boot.

Southampton achieved promotion back to the top flight via the playoffs last term and have already wrapped up a permanent deal for Man City defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis.

Che Adams is the club’s current first-choice forward but is set to leave the club as a free agent next month.
