Breaking: Charlotte Hornets Star bids farewell to team in tears as he joins Rivals….
The Denver Nuggets are reportedly targeting Charlotte Hornets guard Vasilije Micic for a potential trade.
Charlotte Hornets guard Vasilije Micic is a trade target for the Denver Nuggets, according to Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports.
Micic was previously traded from the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Hornets before the February 8 deadline. This move boosted his NBA role and performance.
While with OKC, Micic averaged 3.3 points and 2.5 assists per game over 30 games, with an average of 12.0 minutes on the court.
However, his numbers improved dramatically after joining Charlotte. In 30 games (21 starts) with the Hornets, he posted 10.8 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game, playing 27.2 minutes on average.
Last July, Micic signed a three-year contract worth $23.5 million with the Thunder, including a team option for the third year.
Before his NBA career, Micic had a successful run in the EuroLeague, where he earned league MVP honors in 2021.
If the trade to Denver materialized, Micic would reunite with fellow Serbian Nikola Jokic, with whom he is also set to play in the Paris Olympics this summer.
