BREAKING: Collingwood encounters another setback with Injury.
Collingwood’s Head of High-Performance Jarrod Wade has provided an Injury Update ahead of the Magpies’ Round Six encounter against Port Adelaide on Saturday.
Veteran Scott Pendlebury will be assessed before a call is made on his selection this week, as the 388 gamer recovers from broken ribs suffered in the Magpies’ Gather Round victory over Hawthorn.
Collingwood’s Round Five bye has allowed Pendlebury extra time in his recovery, and the 36-year-old has bounced back well into training this week, completing this morning’s session, including contact drills, without any duress.
Should Pendlebury complete training later this week and is able to sustain hard, contact drills, the midfielder should be available for selection.

The focus now turns to ensure he can complete all aspects of tackling and tackling drills confidently and safely. The midfielder is expected to be cleared to play either next week or in Round Eight.
Defender Josh Eyre is making steady progress building his running speed as he returns from a pre-season hamstring injury.
