Everyone’s Loving Sweet Message From Caitlin Clark’s Boyfriend

Caitlin Clark’s longtime boyfriend, former Iowa Hawkeyes hoops player Connor McCaffery, sent his girlfriend a sweet message on Instagram following the final game of her college basketball career on Sunday.

Iowa fell to South Carolina in the national title game on Sunday afternoon. The Hawkeyes got out to a big lead early, but couldn’t hang with the loaded Gamecocks for 40 minutes, as Dawn Staley won her third national championship.

Following the game, McCaffery, the son of the Iowa men’s coach, sent his girlfriend a cool message.

“My GOAT,” he wrote.

“Mr and Mrs Clark, I’m sure you’re super proud of Catlin and you should be! What a nice young lady and family. Imagine if those two get married what an athlete that kid will be!” one fan wrote.

“I hope their loving relationship lasts as they seem perfect for each other. Clark is an exemplary female athlete who is able to put things in perspective. There was no shame for she and her teammates to lose to a fantastic juggernaut of a basketball team in South Carolina!!” one fan added.

“Hard not to like her,” another fan added.

Next up for Clark: the WNBA Draft. She’s expected to go No. 1 overall later this month.
