The Lathums have thrilled fans by adding dates to their upcoming 2025 UK and Ireland tour, supporting their new album, *Matter Does Not Define*. This highly anticipated album, their third studio release, is set to drop on March 7, 2025. Following two consecutive number-one albums, the Wigan-based indie rock band promises an evolved sound, exploring more mature themes while remaining true to their roots. Lead singer Alex Moore shared that the album’s themes, like those in the track “Reflections of Lessons Left,” emphasize introspective and philosophical ideas, challenging the importance society places on materialism and external markers of identity.

The tour kicks off on March 13, 2025, at Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom and includes stops at some of the UK’s most iconic venues, such as the O2 Academy Brixton in London on March 22 and the O2 Apollo in Manchester on April 11. Additional cities include Birmingham, Belfast, and Dublin, making it accessible to fans across the UK and Ireland. Tickets go on sale to the general public on November 8, with a presale available for fans who preorder the album by November 5.

The Lathums have released two singles from the album so far, “Stellar Cast” and “No Direction,” both of which hint at a dynamic and raw new sound that reflects the band’s artistic growth. Moore and his bandmates, including Scott Concepcion on guitar, Ryan Durrans on drums, and Matty Murphy on bass, recorded the album with their former college mentor John Kettle, which brought a laid-back, organic vibe to the process, even incorporating experimental sounds like a frying pan in “Stellar Cast.”
