3 Musicians That Paul McCartney Dislikes

1. Phil Collins

According to Phil Collins, Paul McCartney got a little snide with him when they first met. Though we don’t have McCartney’s side of the story, for what ever reason, he decided to belittle the former Genesis member

Michael Jackson and McCartney were once frequent collaborators and close friends. That all changed when Jackson decided to buy up the Beatles’ masters. Naturally, McCartney took issue with what he felt was a back stab.

“I think it’s dodgy to do something like that,” McCartney once said of the situation. “To be someone’s friend, and then buy the rug they’re standing on…The trouble is I wrote those songs for nothing and buying them back at these phenomenal sums, I just can’t do it.”

He felt they were “derivative.” “They’re derivative and they think too much of themselves,” McCartney once said. “They mean nothing to me.
