Lewis Hamilton flashed a hint of his abs as he pinned his plaid jacket together with a safety pin for a quirky fashion statement at the Dutch Grand Prix

The F1 driver, 39, flashed his toned abs on Thursday as he stepped out to Circuit Zandvoort, Netherlands.

Showcasing his quirky style, Lewis, who races for Mercedes, paired his unique clothing choice with a pair of a light blue distressed baggy jeans and a thick black belt.

He teamed his rugged ensemble with beige platform boots which features a silver studded design around the edging.

To accessorise, the professional racer finished his look with a pearl necklace, two pearl bracelets and pair of black sunglasses.

The Dutch Grand Prix will start on Friday with the first practice set to start at 11.30am.

Racers will get three attempts to practice the track as two are scheduled for Friday and one is set for Saturday- hours before the qualifying run.

The drivers will then go head to head for the final race on Sunday at 2pm – the final will take place over 72 laps of the 4.259-kilometre Circuit Zandvoort.

Lewis will compete in this race to add to his already impressive track record.

The Stevenage born athlete has entered 346 Grands Prix, made it to 201 podiums, finished first in 105 race and won seven world championships.

His appearance at the Dutch Grand Prix comes after he criticised Mercedes’ strategy at the Belgian Grand Prix and revealed that he wasn’t informed that he would be ‘one-stopped’ by team-mate George Russell.

Lewis appeared set for victory in Belgium until George, who gambled on only stopping once, managed to overtake him.
