It was announced in May that the Full House actor would join the band for 16 shows as they commemorate the 50th anniversary of their 1974 compilation album ‘Endless Summer’.

Over the weekend, Stamos was also joined by his son Billy, who can be seen in clips wearing noise-dampening headphones as he performs a drum solo during ‘Good Vibrations’ alongside his dad. “Had a little help from my son BILLY on good vibrations last night – Wasn’t it nice!” read the caption of the post the musician and actor shared.

The day after posting the clip, he reflected on losing his dad with a video of him performing on the tour. “I lost my dad 23 years ago today,” he wrote. “This song is called Forever, – and that’s how long love should last.”

In the clip, he is visibly emotional and tells the audience: “You know, the things that separate us seem so small compared to what brings us together. Isn’t that true? I mean, music unites us, and it’s so personal yet it’s so universal.

“And, if anything, I would love for you to take a little piece of tonight home in your heart with you and just go to it when you need it most. Cause you never know, tomorrow is never promised. I lost my father 23 years ago tonight, and I think he’s with me tonight.”
