As of January 23, 2025, there have been no official reports or announcements regarding the suspension of Chicago Bears defensive tackle Gervon Dexter Sr. Dexter, who was selected by the Bears in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, has been an active contributor to the team since his selection.

 

In September 2023, Dexter filed a lawsuit to void a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) agreement he had signed in May 2022 with Big League Advance Fund II LLC. The contract stipulated that Dexter would forfeit 15% of his future NFL earnings for the next 25 years in exchange for $436,485. Dexter’s legal team argued that the agreement violated Florida’s NIL laws, as it extended beyond his college eligibility and involved agents not licensed in Florida.

 

Despite this legal dispute, there have been no indications of any suspension or disciplinary action against Dexter by the NFL or the Chicago Bears. He remains an integral part of the Bears’ defensive lineup, and any claims of his suspension are unfounded based on current information.
